OK Guys

It's a fairly simple one.

The oil pressure switch on the side of your V8 - has an electrical connector
on it..

It it just one connector or is there another electrical connector on the pressure switch or another electrical connector veryy close.

I have a ring connector and a slide on connector - I'm pretty sure the ring connector was oil pressure but I'm not sure about the other one.

Fuel question - I have some NPT threaded fuel unions. Should they have PTFE tape on them or should I run a mile ffrom it for fuel ?

On the early Griffs(which I presume wont be too different) the ring connector fitted to the big black rubber covered oil pressure sender for the gauge.

The spade connector is for the oil pressure light.

Sounds the same as my Wedge.

Thanks guys .. that makes sence.

Wonder how the later serpentine engines do this .. as there is only oil sensor attachment ?

Do I detect some stirring in your garage, Alan? Is the beast about to hit the streets?

The earlier wedges have one spade connector each for the oil light and pressure sender. I spose there are lots of different sender types. Maybe the serp ones combine both functions into one sender?

As for fuel unions I've not noticed PTFE on the threads, I would have thought the seal came from the internal faces mating together rather than the threads (like brake pipes).

Serps tap into the oil cooler outlet on the bottom of the front cover.

Yes a bit of progress..

Finished up a bit of wiring .. just the oil connectors remain.

Even attached the battery terminal and turned ignition on..

Fuel pump ran and had a slight leak..

Still got to fix a water leak too.. and get brave an turn engine over on the starter motor yikes

Ant - Thanks

I will have to take a closer look around that area.
