Hi. I have a 997 C2S and although not listed in the spec when I bought it, am wondering if it's had the short shift retro fitted. What partly makes me think this is that it can be difficult to put in first when cold. Not sure if there's an easy way to tell but would be grateful for advice. Cheers.

You could measure the travel between 3rd and 4th ie 10cm or whatever and see how that compare with the other 997 guys on here.

I've got a short shift on my 996 but don't have problems selecting gears.

My previous 997.1 Carrera S had the same issue, it had the short shift fitted. OPC or a specialist should be able to let you know for sure whether yours is fitted with SS or not

Not with mine it's not. Some suffer from it, some don't.
