In the process of stripping down the exhausts to get at a cracked and blowing front manifold, thinking I could get it welded up - bh of a job getting them off, but easier with young sons help! Removed the rear cat pipe and also found...



Bet this was strangling the power a bit - if the rear one is like this then I'm assuming the front one will be similar (cant get it off to see yet) so seems I'll be hunting round for a complete new system, manifolds and all. Not sure which one to go for yet, but it's going to have to be at the expense of some other mods I was planning - arse!
