Just a warning to everyone on the roads today.

It's fecking windy, keep your wits about you and give lorrys (especially curtain siders and the really tall ones) a bit of extra room as they can get blown across the lanes through no fault of their own.

Thanks and drive safe.

How can you tell when a lorry driver has been blown?

Because he'll come over your side...of the road.

do lorries have "crosswind limits" like aeroplanes? i.e. if there are certain speed winds then driving is not allowed? what happends if a lorry gets blown into lane two killing someone in a car overtaking on the motorway, what would the chrge be? surely if they have no control they should not be driving in these conditions?

I understood it that the yard shouldn't let the trucks out if they are at a high risk of falling over. Although ultimately I can see it being the driver's responsibility, because they're the one who are driving it.
