yes but you wont get the ugly stop watch on the dashboard. Ask any OPC . you get the increased boost/torque etc for 10 second intervals. well worth it for when a gtr, 430 or gallardo want to have a bit of fun!!!!

Am I the only one who doesn't find the wart unattractive? It would be nice if it doubled up as a clock though!

I have it on my current C4S and quite like it, just wish it lit up with the rest of the dash even when not in use...
I believe this can be programed but just had no reason to go to my local OPC as yet... coffee

I think you would have a bit of a job explaining why a modern high-performance sports car had a carriage clock on its mantelpiece.

I see it's still on the 991.

Indeed. I have it on my turbo and am fairly unmoved by it either way. Passengers have asked what it is. If it was an actual clock I think it would look a bit off.

On the 991 it is a clock 99% of the time - with the chrono function activated when required.

But it doesnt look quite as "stuck on" in a 991 as its more integrated into the dash with surrounds. The 997 would look too carriage clock to my eye if it was an actual clock. I can live with it in mine as a chronograph but wouldn't miss it.

How much does the retrofit (of the overboost function) cost?

Is it just software?

I think it basically is just software but there is hardware in the form of a button on the low dash aswell which presumably would have to be fitted. Don't know the cost but suspect you are looking at around a grand.
