Over the years had quite a few people with waggy tails in our lives and they all have their little quirks and foibles, but this little chap is seriously weird...

He loves having "Raspberries" blown on him! You know what I mean, when you blow hard and make your lips buzz on their skin. Well, every PWWT I've ever know, freaks and legs it if you raspberry them. This little bugger actively wants you to do it to him! He comes over and stands on you until you blow big wet fart noises on his neck and ears, belly is an especial pleasure!

So, is he deranged and will turn into a serial face hugger in later life or is this just something we should encourage him in? Just for clarity, our other PWWT runs round the room like a thing possessed if you so much as purse your lips in her direction, so it's not a household wide perversion...

Though I am quite partial to it myself if the wife does it right...

Picture of the PWWT in question - does he look "normal"?

Of course he is strange...all puppies are.

He has accepted your raspberying as an indicator of "playtime"
What dog doesn't enjoy playtime.

Or....the dog is entirely normal and he thinks you are strange but has decided to humour you.biggrin

My question is.... Why did you start blowing raspberries on a dog. Just look how your great dane looks now after such treatment.

Might just be the picture but he looks like he needs to go on a bit of a diet.

I dunno. I saw the head then scrolled down a bit and expected much more leg.

He's a Basset cross Springer so legs were not even on the "option" list! He's not as fat as he looks in that pic, but he is very solid for 6 months old - he does like his nosh... and anyone elses!

He is a lovely little mutt with a very loving nature, just a little strange in some of his ways.

He's a springer that cannot spring smile . It's a funny cross but not as bad as the Jack Russell x Rotty of a few years ago.

All three of our dogs hate it. However....

For some mad reason (probably pished at the time) I thought it would be a good idea to blow what have come to be known as "nose farts" on the wife's horses muzzles. One thought it was great and can't get enough. the other lokked at me with a puzzled expression and then sneezed about two pints of snot all over my face!

I should think it's a bit like marmite.....

Have fun with the nose fartz OP! biggrin

One of mine goes absolutely ballistic if you blow raspberries on her nose, it's like she is trying to do it back and usually end up with a face full of dog spit and lick!
I quite often subject my cat to belly 'snorgles' where I pick him up under his armpits and he hangs there with a disdainful expression while I rub my face on his tummy and make raspberryish noises.
Quite embarrassing that.

I can't say I've ever tried this... My Border Collie is mad enough as is.

I mean, how does she recognise the difference between a regular wine bottle and a Champagne bottle? She cowers and runs from the Champagne. Even hiding the neck/cork she still knows the difference! Yet, she actively hunts out and plays for hours with the corks. And balloons, she despises them. She's a rescue dog and I can only assume she attended some hell of a few parties when she was younger.

I'm going to raspberry her when I get home tonight. And my Lab, though I have a feeling he'll enjoy it and then try to eat me.

I am assuming it is the camera angle but is his front right leg normally at that angle from the wrist down?
