VT30 and Yamaha RX-V367

Hi all, I've got a VT30 and drive my home cinema through a Yamaha RX-V367 Amp (Tivo, PS3, BluRay).
I've just got the VT30 and it all works fine, except when I want to look (and listen) to content from the TV, through the Amp.

I.e when I go online via the TV, the sound only comes through the TV and not the Amp. I've got the HDMI out from the Amp going into HDMI 2 on the TV (which supports ARC), but for some reason the sound doesn't go two ways. Any idea how I can fix this, please?

The main reason being that when I stream media from my computer to the TV, it only comes out through the TV speakers. Yes, I could stream via the PS3, but that's not the point!

Any help would be appreciated!

I have VT 30 as well hooked to an Onkyo amp.

First check the tv settings - Use Viera link to make sure the TV menu is displaying Home Cinima for sound options.

Secondly make sure your amp is in the correct listening mode - I had to make sure my listining mode is on ARC.

I'm assuming your HDMI cable also supports ARC ?

Yeah got an HDMI v1.4 cable which supports ARC, but haven't checked whether the amp has it enabled yet. Hmmmm, might just connect the TV to the amp via Optical and run the sounds via it that way.

I know there's 50 threads on it already, but how are you finding the VT? I've been very impressed so far, not going to go looking for the issues being described or I'll always be able to spot it if I do!

TV can't get sound from surround sound (hdmi out from Yam to HDMI 2 on Panny)
BluRay - no pic or sound fixed
Cable - sound only fixed

Panny G20 & Yamaha RX-V765...... had enough for tonight, optical and digi coax going back on for now. had a moment of clarity
