What car should i pick for a banger rally???

Hi everybody,

Im looking at taking part in a banger rally this year and raising some money for some worthy causes. I need some ideas of what car to select for the 2000 mile or so jaunt round Europe. Were only allowed to spend upto about £350 for the car.

I need something that will get me round without having to spend a fortune fixing it. I also only have limited spanner skills so something that is relatively easy to fix if i need to do some roadside repairs.

Any ideas will be most appreciated.

You're going to need to put in the hours on ebay with an open mind. It's the wrong approach to look for X model of Y car. Just keep an eye out for poorly written ebay ads with taxed and tested mechanically simple cars.

With that brief I'd be looking at old Corrola, Carina, Civic, Mazda 323, Micra, Almera etc etc
