microsoft sues Comet over piracy

why would Comet do that? seems very weird to be copying Vista and XP then passing them on to customers.

They didn't sell pirated discs as such.

They gave customers recovery media with Windows on it - infringing some licence or other. MS thinks this was unfair to customers in some way.

so it is just Microsoft flexing their legal muscles. they just trying to make everyone aware that they are still chasing people who bend the rules (no matter how slightly)?

Isn't the customer entitled to the Windows disc if he buys a PC with Windows on it? I seem to remember this being discussed in the days of Windows Me - and do not remember seeing a definite answer.
