A friend of mine is looking for a Tuscan mk1 below 15k GBP, preferably with dark exterior. I have been looking around on PH, Car & Classic etc. and found a couple but not that many for sale at the moment. If anyone is thinking of selling please let me know.
Thanks,
Bernard
How about thisThanks,

IMHO mileage is of little consequence of the running gear has been maintained properly and 50k miles isnt really that high is it?
Engine was rebuilt, but 6 years ago so i guess that has some impact, but regardless its unbelievably cheap on the face of things
Bit dissapointing if the values really have dropped this much. I wouldnt sell my car for much below £20k, and for sure nowhere near £11k unless i was absolutely desperate, it owes me too much and i simply couldnt bring myself to part with it for that much knowing how much i have put into it!
Looking through the classifieds there appears to be the average mk1's at £14-£15k and the good cars £17k upwards, im a little surprised, oh well, its a very good reason to hold on to them and hope they go back up...not that i have any intention of selling!

I suppose cars like this will always dip a bit over the winter months.
I know when i got mine there were literally no cheap ones about, mine was 14k with 55k on it in april 11. That said it did come with a fresh power rebuild and 3 yrs warrenty along with new gaz golds and some other recent parts. The car was tatty though and will soon be going in for a respray and a retrim inc carpets, steering wheel etc. I have also replaced numerous parts like drop links, bushes, about a hundred s
tty bolts for stainless ones
new lcd screen, etc etc. infact quite a long list
So for me i see some of these cheap cars and think 'bloody hell maybe i got the wrong car'
but then i can also look at it like i paid 8k ish for a car needing a rebuild.
I am a little reluctant to have the car sprayed and retrimmed but for me i suppose its a hobby i enjoy and i will have an absolutly mint tuscan with warrenty remaining so would still get half decent money (though no where near what i spent).
I do wonder though about that car in the link. surely somethings up. 11.5k is very very cheap, it wasnt long ago i was watching cat d's sell for more.
surely he could give it to a dealer for sale or return and get more?
cars do lose money though, someone who bought a 20k low mileage mint tuscan then spend 6k having it rebuilt and 2 grand on shocks, clutch etc isn't getting back 28k!
For me i just have to remember its a hobby and working on the car is part of the fun

Cars that I have seen previously that are sub 12k seem to be rough or HPI listed, so the one above does look good value if its OK.
I struggled with the pricing on mine, so went for what the dealer that serviced it said combined with what similar cars are advertised for at the moment. In no rush to sell so if I get limited interest i'll just keep hold.

Hello there guys.I have just returned from viewing the grey ex Irish tuscan currently available for 11.5 k and hope my thoughts might help in your quest for one.first let me say I'm ex fta so know my way around a motor and I had a good look top and bottom.
Firstly the car looks tidy overall with one stress mark on the nsr and also
one on the bonnet and a couple of chips here and there consumate with
age with the NSF wheel paint
peeling.
Tyres are all good and even although
while in that area the shocks although
aren't leaking happen to be fairly
rusty making adjustment tricky.the
chassis has the usual peeling paint
and could do with a clean and Shultz
although is sound.I didn't get to drive
her however the performance is good
dispite a low end miss with no
smoke,knocks or bumps along the
way with oil and water as expected.
Typicaly tvr The boot wouldn't shut and some carpet is trying to escape
with the back carpet quite wet.
Overall for the price she is reasonable however my offer was somewhat low and she didn't come home with me.the search continues.
Hope this helps,it's just my view.

Very good price imo and no wonder hes not taking offers. Must admit i am surprised at how cheap it actually is.
I remember when i was looking and a couple of cat d's caught my eye, 13k was the minimum you needed to take one and that was april last year so not long ago. And you know full well there was going to be bits needed doing.

I did have a peak as well, as I wanted a darker one when I bought mine but I couldn't wait
