Fuse ? I have a 94 500 and my manual says it's a 20amp and it's the 7th one in from the left. If that makes sense ?

Also the relay is on the top row in the middle.

This is assuming your fuse box is under the battery box in the passenger foot well like mine.?

Ah, down the local scrap yard and find the nearest Vauhall

How is the car apart from the obvious little electrical glitch ?

the car is fine mate, had to fit a drivers window motor assm. but i knew that before i paid.(not too bad of a job) got a second hand unit from scrappy for 99 quid deliverd.

sorry been all day in the thing and just got back, 50 quid of fuel later, 6 smiling mates and a terrified father.

it has a slight tappet noise - sounds like 1 follower or cam,
I will run it over summer and investigaate at winter.

I might even try a wynns additive and some new mobil 1.

I've just put Mobil1 15/50 in mine and I've noticed the oil pressure drop off a bit and consumption increase. You might want to consider a decent 20/50 alternative.

Glad you've enjoyed the car today. Many more days of smiles to come no doubt

what oil pressure are you getting when it is up to temp?

Will you try a synthetic 20/50? if so what make?

I'm getting 25psi when hot and about 10-15 at idle.

I'm tempted to try one that frost supply.

Classic Sport 20W50 semi-synthetic. £22.00 (assume its' 5L)

www.frost.co.uk

I used to get more like 30psi when hot previously and it never dropped below 20 at idle. I seem to be topping it up more often too.

the two dont seem related, consumption and lack of pressure by such a small degree, but i do get 30 when warmed up at 2000 rpm and 25 at idle but having only just got the car i do not know whats in it but i will change it to mobil 1 15/50 (bought 8 litres today - ouch) some time next weekend. i will let you know.

consumption on mine is around full to add in 500 miles (this weekend)

Yeah I'd be interested to see what you get with the 15/50. How amny miles has the car covered ?

The car has covered 36,800 miles.

I have tried an additive today made by lucas (its an oil conditioner) and its took that tick tick noise off.

it has made no change to the pressure.
