Going to be assembling my doors soon. However I could do with close up photos especially of the windows the felt strips. Are they inserted strips like http://www.woolies-trim.co.uk/p-967-window-channel... or are they barer felt laid into the rebates?

The rebates in the main windows are just under 7mm tad over ¼" Woolies Trim don't go down this much, that’s why I think it maybe bear felt in the Runner Rebates.

Close ups of the way the frame is held to door would be very useful as well.

Will ask Woolies for a sample of the channel they supply so can try it - maybe shave it down, as would definately be easier.

Anyone done this?

http://www.woolies-trim.co.uk/c-136-bonnet-tape.as...

I used stuff similar to this and cut it to size before impact gluing it into position. Their are different sizes so buy the one that will cover the 3 sides of the section then cut excess off to fit after it is dry.

Now why didn't you sell this to me when I was looking around for a solution!!!

Jelly. I just tried to replicate the stuff I removed when rebuilding my frames. I would think the flocked rubber would give a better action.
My side windows are polycarb and I have nipped the frames to provide friction so no heavy winder mechanisms etc...possibly not what you are looking for if you are finishing yours to road std.

Neil,
Because I tried my utmost to get the OE canvas with triple beading made with no success...recently, even combining with a childhood friend who restores the cars at Coventry Museum...and she asked me to stock it so she could buy locally, and the coffee is good at my house.

Yep - think this flocked rubber will be best. Will be road registered (but 100% race) - why would not not have registered for the odd blast after all the effort!

Will get it std windows initially - just to get it all complete (may change to plexi later)-but not overly worried about carrying a few extra grams / kg (;)).

Your gonna be out on the track this year?
