"15-year-old boy was tortured and drowned because a relative believed he was a witch, the Old Bailey has heard."

Read the article, it is scary what humans can do to one another, I feel sorry for the suriving kids who are going to be fked for the rest of their lives.

'Human' biologically, certainly not socially. How is it these primitives can exist and breed in civilised society? Incredible.

Terribly vile state of affairs.

I cannot even bring myself to make a joke about it.

Poor little guy.

I'm afraid there are a lot of parts of the world where people's beliefs are still incredibly primitive. We've bred a few of our own - to wit the Salford murder - but it is more prevalent in other countries.

We forget this at our peril when we consider how they are able to integrate with our society and laws.

You're right.

This kind of barbarism still goes on in Cornwall, too. Apparantly.

Caribean, or the unmentionable parts of Asia (Afghanistan and their sensitive neighbours) perhaps?
