We have the chance to rescue a dog. An Aylestone Bulldog. I had never heard of the breed but someone I know is moving away for work and his girlfriend is refusing to look after the dog while he finds somewhere to settle down.

We have a Rottweiler who is a year old and gets on with all dogs/people/strangers/burglars... basically, she is soft as anything. We have had other dogs stay with us and she isn't bothered, so I don't think she would be an issue.

Can anyone tell me ANYTHING about Aylsetone Bulldogs? We do want a 2nd dog but weren't in any rush. My OH now wants to rescue this dog.

They are sort of like 'normal' bulldogs only less so, so they don't tend to have the same problems with breathing because they have a less squashed face etc. The only one I've ever met was a real sweetheart, a lovely friendly dog with great temperament.
