Alternator parts

Hi everyone and happy new year to all! I have taken my alternator apart and it looks like the brushes are knackered. so im going to replace them and the voltage regulator as i think its a bit suspect. So the big question is "does anyone know where i can get said parts from"

Hi Steve, I'm not sure it's easy to get those parts these days? I usually get a reconditioned unit from my local motor parts dealer as alternators are exchange units. When I done my GTO3 alternator it was about £100 exchange and at least that way you get a years guarantee with it.

you need to find somehere that repairs starter motors and alternators

Cheers for the replies guys. i have had a little look and seems these bits are not stocked in most places so for ease i think i will take the easy route and get a new unit.
