How often do you change oil and fluids when you track?
Discussion
I track a few times a year, usually for a full day. Otherwise the car does to get a whole lot of use. Right now, I do a full flush of everything after three track days or so but not sure if this is excessive. The car gets pretty well thrashed on the track, otherwise driven well within normal road limits. There is a lot of practical experience on PH - way do you do?
Your profile suggests you're tracking GT3s, so you'd expect to be changing stuff far more frequently than others. Mine 986 was on track 8 times this year and I only expect to change oil and brake fluid every year - but I would imagine most GT3 owners will be doing that far more often.
I usually change the engine oil after every race/track day and the gearbox & diff oil after every two.
The only exception is if the car has had particularly light use on the day in which case I'll allow an extra session before it is changed.
I now await the arrival of a PH "expert"
to tell me that an oil change after every session is overkill.

If you are only doing a few days per year then frankly once a year (i.e. twice as often as Porsche say) ought to be fine. Though that said - I'll probably be doing it more often than that myself and I don't do that many days. Also - particularly in the warm season you should probably be using something thicker than 0w40 too (most of the people that I know tracking GT3s use 10w50 or 10w60 motorsport grade synthetic oil). This may be a better question to ask in the Porsche section though - advice for a GT3 will not necessarily correlate with people running significantly different machinery like Caterfields and 4x4 turbo saloons.

...as has been noted , its certainly not an exact science, but it does appear as if everyone does very frequent changes. I will continue to do so.
