Hiya

I'm a new TVR owner - I bought a Cerbera 4.5 in May after many years' deliberation... I'm absolutely loving it; driving is now a pleasure, not a chore.

There seems so much for me to learn. For now, though, does anyone know whether it's possible to fit retrospectively Red Rose to a 4.5, and what is it (other than a performance enhancer, of course)? Any idea of cost implications?

Thanks, Matt

I've had this done by TVR Power (but organised through the factory). Can't recommend it enough - the whole car feels so much crisper/smoother now.

Do you know what it is, what it does? Why does it make such a difference?

Whats the difference between the 4.5 engine upgrade and the 4.5 red rose upgrade, or are you meant to be buying both?

Mine's a 4.5 already, so it's just the upgrade to red rose. So what's red rose, what's it do, etc?

I had a 4.5 red rose upgrade. I'm not sure of the exact details, other then its an engine out job so that they can work on the individual components - port grinding, balancing etc. Also got a new ECU and a funky switch on the dash.
What I am sure about is that the delivery is now bang on the money throughout the rev range.

[I was warned by the factory that not all 4.5's can have this done but I guess I was lucky. (Mine is a 2000 LW). Many thanks to Paul at the factory for making this happen.]

I was going to sell the car after I lost my last job, but a new job means that I can probably keep the car and the smiles that go with it. I might also go for a set of Nitrons after all the rave reviews I've been hearing.

Nope there is an option of

1) a 4.2 -> 4.5 upgrade
2) a 4.5 Upgrade
3) a 4.5 -> red rose

I want to know the difference between the last 2.
