Please can someone tell me whether it is better to have a Gallardo with a manual gearbox or the e-gear setup? Is there a performance difference? What are the advantages/disadvantages of either? Thanks

Here is a video of e-gear in action - sorry if you have dial-up as its a fair sized clip. Short of driving both versions, this might help your choice. I'm very happy with e-gear but those who chose manual will also tell you they made the right decision.

Thanks mhh - looks and sounds awesome! Is there a performance differnce between e-gear and manual or is is simply a ease of driving issue?

Does this mean you may be changing your name to Gallardo girl in the near future?

As Mhh says, there is no performance difference between manual / E-gear. Ask me when I'm inching along in traffic, I'll take the E-Gear...ask me when I'm palming the lever clicl clack throught the 'box - I'll take the manual. I did like the E-Gear I drove BUT weighing up the £8000 and the fact that 'they' say that your first Fezzer or Lambo should be a Manual...thats the one I chose. In truth I dont think it would detract from the car either way....are you tempted?

More like Tam Gall... Don't think I could part with the Tam!

Lambojim - how are you finding yours? I understand the roadster will be out by 2006 and they are taking orders now.... Very tempted!!
