Finally, I bought a Griffith!!!

Yes, after months of looking for the right Griffith, I put a deposit down today on a Pearl Blue Griff 500, 1996 with power steering and tower view brake upgrade!!!!
Only problem is now, I'm going on holiday to Greece this Thursday for a week, so won't be picking it up until a week Friday. How fun is THAT holiday going to be!!
Now to phone Rob Ingleby to get him to inspect it for me whilst I'm on me jollies!

BTW - what do you think of the FTO? Was thinking of getting a tiptronic one as a daily hack later in the year - probably one of the face lift versions.

Mine's a manual, but having driven a tiptronic that gearbox does seem to sap a lot of power, they feel a good bit slower (and are about a second off the pace 1/4 mile wise). Plus the tiptronic engine _can_ be flaky - a few have gone pop, and owners have generally replaced them with manual gearboxes.
If you do want a tiptronic though, the most important thing is ensuring the gearbox oil is changed regularly and kept at the correct level.

At the risk of sounding like a salesman for Mike at the polishing co, You'll be amazed at that polish, not only how good it is, but also how easy and quick as well.
