Front Fog Lamp Discovery ES TDI 1995

Car booked in for annual MOT on Monday. Having carried out a pre MOT check, I have noticed that one of the front fog lights is not working, and upon attempting to change bulb, found the complete lamp and it’s bulb connection completely corroded with rust, with no chance of a repair.

Firstly, am I correct in believing that front fog lamps are not part of the MOT, and since I have access to the bulb connection, is there an easy way of adding a bulb connection/holder, and will the same require grounding.

The OS front fog on my Disco's been smashed for about 3 years and it's never been an issue at Mot time.

In all fairness to Land Rover mine died when i hit a rather large rock offroad!
