it sounds like theres lots of suction from the rear of the engine and upon application of the throttle when setting off the car is very jumpy, it's only a 1003 1.3 vvt-i yaris, but a dropped cylinder is a dropped cylinder! also i will need to chech the plugs, leads cte cte won't i? and how much in general will it be to repair?? thanks for taking the time to look at this and reply, i appreciate it!

The sound of suction at the rear of the engine sounds more like the inlet hose is off, the one from the air filter. This would cause more air than needed to get in and make it rough. If the car is still running, I don't think you've "dropped a cylinder"? Did it develop slowly over time, or did it go bang? Does the car have anti-freeze in the coolant system? When was it last serviced at a garage? If you are in the AA/RAC, I would give them a call first.
