Colleague looking at getting a 997 (don't know which model) and is bothered that it hasn't got a rear wiper.
Now I know not everyone likes rear wipers, but can they realistically be retro-fitted like PSE can? I'm guessing not, but have no doubt one of the expert geniuses here will know the answer. Cheers for any help.

I've got a rear wiper on the 997.1. It works but wouldn't consider it a deal-breaker. Just give the glass a really good clean (try Zaino clear view glass polish - excellent stuff) and then use some Rain-X. Driving along at anything over 20 mph and the rain will fly off leaving excellent rear visibility. Job done.

Cheers. My 997 has one. It would't be a deal breaker for me if I was looking at a new car. My mate said it's useful on his Audi when starting up in the morning and wanting to clear the rear screen quickly, faster than via the heated element.
Anyway thanks for the replies. As I suspected (and told him): not practical

An Audi with a rear wiper will have a much steeper angle to the screen so will need the wiper much more - all down to how the air flows over different shapes, hence the 911 doesn't really need one once it's moving.Anyway thanks for the replies. As I suspected (and told him): not practical
