Its time for a new battery in the griff (96 500)

In a timely way I have just had an email from the RAC telling me that they replace batteries at home foc as part of my membership.

Their database recommends a Bosh S4 069 ( http://www.racshop.co.uk/car-battery/product/bosch... )which has 630amp cranking and looks similar to the recommended 072

It has a 4 year warranty and mobile replacement guarantee

If the RAC will fit at home it sounds like a bit of a no brainer.

Does anyone have experience of the RAC fitting service or this battery?

Many thanks

Goaty Bill

Last weekend, not on the Chim though; OH's TT.
No issues.

That said, most of them in my experience from talking with them, are unlikely to know exactly how to do it, so you might have to tell them.
But it isn't rocket science, presuming yours has four bolts/nuts under the car same as mine.
And they will need to get part way under to do it, though arms reach only is enough if you can find the bolt/nut heads.

I'll bet someone has a picture they can post smile
