RWD Coupe for under 5K

I had some drift tuition at Brands Hatch yesterday in a 350Z and really enjoyed it, so naturally ive spent a couple of hours this morning looking at rear wheel drive coupes for 5K and under.
Looking around the ads I cant see any Z's in my price range, but I wondered whether anyone had any other suggestions? Im 22 so it cant be too crazy on insurance.
Ive considered 240SX's but there dont seem to be many decent ones around. Ive also looked at RX8s as my budget would easily get me a 55 plate, are they really that bad reliability wise? Surely a well maintained one thats had regular oil changes and has been cared for would be ok?
My daily commute totals about 5 miles, so mpg isnt an issue!

Id definitely consider a 3 series, Is the 330 the only one to go for? what about a 325/323?

The RX-8 is not an unreliable car etc, just quite different, with the wankel engine, check the oil a every week, few days depending on the miles you do and keep it topped up, the engine is designed to use some oil so its very important. giving it an "italian tune up" often will keep carbon and so on for hanging around in the engine, but they do not like short trips all the time, same as any car just the wankel is more fussy with it.

Thanks REV LIMIT it what i like todo if i drive to work, its the long way to work, nothing that good but its fun and makes sure car gets up to temp, win-win

Judging by some of the horror stories we've had here about engine rebuilds etc etc I'd say no, thats not true. They do need extremely digiligent maintainence, as well as an eye for a good one when you're buying them. S2/944 are great cars, but id like something a bit newer im afraid.
Just a quick question, why are 350Z's so expensive? If you compare them with other sports cars of that year they have really held their value

You probably won't get a logical answer to that question as a lot of folk round here think that it's only any car of German origin that hold valueS2/944 are great cars, but id like something a bit newer im afraid.
