I have always liked colour coded wheels like the 997GTS etc.

Nice? or trying too hard?

I think the stock silver wheels look best

Yes Atlas grey. Its an interesting colour that I keep looking at and finding that it looks so different in different lights.

I do like the silver but want to make it a bit different.

That GTS does look good, but I think part of that is down to the wheel design.

Ah sorry lee I didn't notice the wheel image you posted was black?

Yeah if your car is atlas go for atlas, it looks cloud9 there's a ph'er on here with a boxster that did it, it really did look good.

I'd def go for the silver rim, for one it looks factory but the main reason is the car always looks under wheeled without it, it just looks wrong

I like your point about the silver rim looking factory. I have never thought about it like that.

Not a great pic but this was my Atlas 997 with Atlas wheels. Loved it and it looked amazing in the metal.

i think they all look lovely, though in the brighter colours you've got to like the look more that the dark!

it harks back to the 80's fuchs colour coded wheels for me, & that's a good thing smile

yeah i missed it as it came up when i was away on summer hols, the underneath was "jackal" clean, so obviously well pampered wink apparently the only SSE cab supplied without the spoilers, hence porsche fitting the speedster front lip.

yeah it looks like it has a bit too much flake to be basalt but it's difficult to tell in sunlight photo's. it's from someone on rennlist so if you search option XD9 on there you'll probably find him

I would like to possibly do something different to my wheels same 996 turbo wheels but on seal grey. Anyone with any pics of different coloured wheels on seal grey cars??? Was thinking either different shade of silver like the light shadow effect I have seen on 991 S or black with silver rim similar to the first pic on this thread.

OPC Bolton have a Cayman s in Meteor (similar to Seal ) with black wheels and polished rims. Looks well. Alternatively consider a "PORSCHE" stripe in silver along the flanks. Did this on our Seal 986 to freshen her up...
