Agree - that supercharger whine is just great. I assume the 4 litre V8 can be supercharged too.......

Indeed it can but modern conversions generally use a centrigugal supercharger and these don't tend to have the classic "whine" of a twin rotor unit(often called a Roots blower) as used on Cominoc's car.

Here is a link to TVR powers supercharged 4.0 chim http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/gassing/topic.asp?h=0... but as said earlier it won't give the whine. It seems to have dropped off the website recently but I'm sure that wouldn't stop them doing it again, seems to be more talk on here though of people exploring turbos for the rv8 instead.

Blues' has a S/C on his Chim 450. Fitted by Racing Green IIRC.

Here is this thread on the Chim forum about supercharging, turbos Vs normally aspirated inprovements. Makes me want to reach for my wallet but there is nothing left in it at the moment due to my chassis .

Indeed it can - and the bigger variants can be too.
