Been looking at various systems for nearly a year now, both for my previous CLK and the new Boxster.

1.There are plenty of cheap radar systems around (<£50) but the best I can think of for 'hiding' sensors is within the under bumper apendages. Any other ideas ?(drilling bumper or stick on ones not allowed)

2. There is a metal adhesive strip system which runs inside the bumper cover and works on magnetic fields - the only problem is that it detects changes in the field, so if you stop whilst reversing the start point is effectively reset. Not good if you're only 5" from disaster

3.Today, have found a site which does camera systems, and the smallest camera is only 25mm diam x 46mm deep.
So I'm thinking of putting this in place of the tow hitch coverdisc. Not enirely sure that the camera angle will be wide enuff to see much but could be an option.

Can someone please measure this disc and let me know the diameter?

Thanks.

Cheers Jay,

Might be an option for the camera then.

Just need to check the viewing angle

Lets face it H, you are a women, so parking consists of spaces that you can drive forwards into, and forward out of

I think its a tw@t of a car to reverse, and lets face it, a small charge for reversing aids, or £££ for bumper repairs.

Percey, let me know what you decide

I don't, but I thought the camera might be useful to gauge how quickly the cop car disappeared from view
