Got the latest EVO at the weekend, nice editor send off for Chris Harris. I hope the marriage with PH works out, but the glossy car mags are a different animal to the pit that is online interactive journalism. I don't always think we need the reporters we read to interact with the great unwashed to add to the value of what they do, and there are grades of reporting and value. PH is a great cheeky read online during the workday, EVO is a nice one to spend some time on with a wine, whisky or in the bath at the weekend.

Both have their place, I hope CH finds his on PH but keeps in touch with EVO which is a quality mag for us petrolheads...

Am I the only one that doesn't get all the fascination and multiple threads about this Chris Harris bloke joining the PH team?

TBH I have no idea who he is apart from I've picked up he has moved from Evo mag. I don't read Evo so that probably explains it but seriously, is it really such a big deal?

Yes,

Seriously though Chris Harris is genuine petrolhead who instead of just swanning about in cars that manufactures loan him when he has to, actually goes out gets dripped up and buys his own, A Gallardo and GT3 RS 4.0 a case in point.

Despite having access to cars most of us can only dream about comes across as a half decent chap (remember the custard pic?)

Yes it can be argued maybe a bit too much worship but if he wasn't that popular amongst the PH crowd than A: Haymarket wouldn't have employed him and B: wouldn't have various threads running for page after page.

Anyone that borrows someone his own personal GT3 for a weekend is ok in my book.
