I do find this man quite offensive to be honest, in fact it boils my piss. I don't really care for the two ex-TRosso drivers but he is just being rude. Surely you can't wtite off drivers who are what 21?

I have a dislike of the man but have to say that I think both drivers had their chance and showed that they were good GP drivers but not the next Great Hope.
Jamie might have a little more in him but with the other two in the wings it doesn't make sence to give them more time. If they were that good they would have been hoovered up by others.

Was it Buemi who was saying that he wanted to use his role as third driver at RBR to try and launch into Webber's seat once he vacates it? I would imagine Herr Marko's comments are just the pep talk he needs to motivate himself for this year. That said I agree with his assessment of them - both decent drivers who have shown they can pedal a car but clearly neither is the next Vettel/Hamilton/Schumacher/Alonso but to come out and say it like that is rather rude and not very wise, who knows when they might need one of those guys to fill a seat somewhere?

Helmet wont care about that, I can think of a list of at least 10 F1 or abouts level drivers that they know who would fill a seat as soon as the call came through, not to mention the wantabes.Red Bull has never been anything but a hot house for the very brightest and best and whose who fulfil Red Bull's idea of the perfect driver. Second does not cut it unless they are feeling generous. You win or they drop you all the way to F1 and then you have 12 months to prove that you are the next big thing or are likely to be before the next Red Bull Jr is being lined up for you seat in 6 months time.
In some ways it is great, if you are the chosen one, but in other ways it will break you faster than any other method known to man, including Mum and Dad selling the family business and remortgaging their house to pay for your failed season in F3.
The list of people sucked up and spat out by the scheme is much bigger than many think but above all Red Bull are not your Mum and Dad and will drop you faster than you can say "He drove me off the track" if you aren't floating their boat anymore.

Just as well Hel-mutt did not have to grade his own career from GP 1970 & 71 as his highest finish was 8th in a car that won 1 race in 1970 and two in 1971.
An awful comment now I know but... He lost an eye driving GP and you have to wonder if that makes him a little twisted in attitude at times to the drivers.

I think its poor form coming out and saying that about two drivers who gave three years of solid service, did a decent job and were then chucked out rather late in the day making it tricky for them to sort out the next year of thier career.
However i do agree, Red Bull are looking for another potential F1 great, these two are decent young drivers, but i think we have seen enough to see its unlikely they will ever end up inthe top 4 drivers on the grid.
No reason to come out and say it to the press when these poor guys are trying to scrabble together some form of racing for the next year though.

You guys are way to niave. In all top line sport you are only as good as your current performance, there is none of this sentimental rubbish, you havent performed so clear out, jeeze these guys have had more than enough chances to develop, if anything Marko has given particularily generous in the amount of time these journey men have had. Well the free ride is over, good riddance.
As for Helmut Marko, his little finger knows more about motorsport than you guys all put together, there is a man who has been there, done it and got a whole shed load of teeshirts, you cheeky upstarts.

Bernie probably knows a lot about motorsport too, doesn't mean he isn't an almighty bellend with no interest other than looking after number 1. Just because you know your trade, doesn't mean that your actions are in the best interests of that trade.Nick1point9 said:

So why does Massa still have a seat? Ruthless decisions are understandable and part of F1, anyone that follows the sport even part time will be aware of that. A ruthless decision can still be handled well though and respect given. Sacking both drivers so late in the year that they've little opportunity to find a seat elsewhere and then pouring water on their potential with his comments in the media is border line spiteful.
