A bit of a mine field I'm afraid.

I won't pretend to know the answer to your question, all I can do is pass on some information I found whilst replacing a standard clutch and slave.

To my knowledge there were three different types of flywheel, three different bell housings, three lengths of slave and finally two types of clutch pack. The advice given to me was to replace like for like, however I believe the earlier components are now obsolete (as you've found out).
There's a distinct possibility you may not be able to adapt the old style bell housing, and maybe you'll need a flywheel as well?

I took some measurement that may be of some help?

Flywheel mounting flange (the bit that bolts to the crank) to flywheel drive face 11.4mm
Flywheel drive face to slave cylinder mounting flange 115.5mm
Clutch fingers to slave cylinder mounting flange 61mm
Slave cylinder fully pressed home and fitted to clutch fingers 8mm (Race proved Slave)
Slave cylinder fully pressed home and fitted to clutch fingers 3mm (original cylinder)

HTH

I'm quite sure someone with a lot more knowledge on the subject will be along soon.

I had the same problem and I went to Raceproved. Spoke to them and sent them the bellhousing and they machined it, then sent back with new clutch, slave and lightened flywheel. All was fine after that.

looks like Dom at Tvr Power has found a solution - thanks for the effort of taking measurements etc - will keep you informed as to what the outcome is
