A3 to Bracknell... route help

Afternoon all. I was hoping for a bit of "local knowledge" please to assist with Hammersmith Flyover avoidance tactics...

I need to get to Bracknell tomorrow from Battersea. I'm planning to head out of central London on the A3 - because it's easy for me to get to - but just wondered about the best route from there.

The A3 / M25 junction always seems sticky, so my half-baked plan is to leave the A3 at Cobham, take the A245 past West Byfleet, Sheerwater, on up to Chobham, Lightwater, across the M3 and on up to Bracknell.

What do you think? Will it be chaos? Should I stick it out on the M25? Any better suggestions?

I need to be in Bracknell by 8.30am.

Any advice warmly welcomed and gratefully received!

I'd just stick to the M25, as the other routes get just as congested. Junction 10 to 12 can run slowly,but its usually running.
M3 south to junction 3 should be clear, the A322 can get quite busy. Just allow extra time and you should be fine, or just leave prior to rush hour and go for breakfast in Bracknell.

If you have an iPhone get the highways agency app and check the motorway before you leave.

As he says - you'll be going against the flow most of the way so it should be OK.

As an aside, I have always had the RAC Traffic App, had a look at the HA one and the reviews are poor. If their website for live info is anything to go by then that figures.
