Running rough at Idle

My car is with a dealer at the moment, Silverstone TVR. They have fixed all the problems that I had (and trust me there were loads) but there is still a problem and the solution eludes them. The car has been upto TVR power and they are baffled, so lets be fair if those guys don't know then its obviously not an easy one.
On idle the car runs as rough as a badgers arse (quote) i am not familiar with Badgers arse's but i can imagine they are quite rough. The guys think it is electrical as oppose to mechanical because it is intermittent., The obvious has been checked and indeed replaced in certain cases, namely Stepper motor, coil, dizzy cap, plugs , leads, rotor arm, etc etc. ANY IDEAS?
These guys at Silverstone have been bloody marvellous, working till 11PM on the car, Not charging for at least 60% of what they could, and now the owner / head mechanical bod has offered me his own personal car so I can be mobile. That makes me feel like a real c

tCan't really add as its with TVR Power, who certainly know more than I could ever hope to.
However, there's always a however
. idle is quiet a complex thing and probably along with the low throttle running is the area that the likes of Mark Adams spends most of his time setting up a car.
Suck eggs moment, the idle works with close loop control from feedback from the lambdas and controls the mixture and or the stepper to achieve the idle. My car in its past history had a long period of problems including changing everything in this area more than once, but it seemed to be cleared by a re-wire from the ECU to stepper. Lambda's can sometimes give good readings and then have a funny moment. The ECU giving far too much fuel in the first instance, which can be contained by the close loop control most of the time but it is always struggling to do so and can run rough because of it.
What I'm trying to say is if its not resolved soon have a chat with Mark Adams. He doesn't just put his chip in and tune a car he will do diagnostics on a standard ECU'd one as well.
Really silly one now, I know its stated as probably not mechanical but there are things such as sticking valves, slipping cam timing,.......... the list is endless.
Discalimer time, AIMHO and based on nothing but pure guesswork on my part. Take it to an expert, oh you already have, bugger best of luck and post the results when you get it finally fixed.
