I know, not very exciting - but does anyone know how to remove the rear headrests on a new model Cayenne? According to the manual, and my efforts only the middle one comes out.

The other 2 are rendering a new isofix childbooster seat (maxi cost ferofix) impossible to fit......

The question sounds too simple - so've just been out to have a go with mine! smile

I have to agree with you, they don't come out. The seats weren't manufactured with them in place, so they must come out somehow!

I also have a child seat in and can see how it would stop a bigger child seat (than mine) going in. In fact, mine (9 months - 3 years) only fits in with the headrest in its highest position - something I hadn't noticed before.

Looking in the book it says the front and back can be adjusted, but doesn't say any more (like how to remove them).

Quite bizarre. Do let us know if you find the answer.

Hi, on a 2005 model cayenne you have to lift the headrest all the way out and then where you see the two metal chrome posts protruding out of the seal you press in a plastic lug which I think is on the base of both chrome posts and pull up at same time... May be same for you ?

Sadly not! No such lugs on these as the button to raise and lower is on the side of the headrest and the runners slide through grommets with no lugs.. The middle one does operate the usual way with a lug on the grommet on the seat top. A mystery to us all and the opc has not come up with any answers yet. They will probably try and sell me a Porsche child seat.

Yes, but they only allow for the rest to go up/down & not the whole way out

They don't come out as a function; the only reason the 9PA model one's came out was because the seats wouldn't fold flat without them removed........

Yes they do come out but I can't remember quite how, but , a small led torch and a screwdriver were used and I recall releasing a hitherto hidden release catch.
