On the one day I decide not to take my car to work some old fecker drives in to it outside my house smashing the front wing, headlight and bumper!

Fortunately the driver left their details , probably because a neighbour witnessed it!

You're very lucky they left details. That's decent of them.
Commiserations for the damage but could've been much worse.

It's refreshing that they left their details. Hopefully they've left the correct info!

Indeed, It is refreshing. I've spoken to the driver who admitted it was his fault, thought to myself its hardly mine I was 14 miles away at work....

Props to the person who hit it on leaving his details.

Let's face it, it could have happened to your car parked anywhere and there's a very good chance these days unfortunately that it would just be some prime R-sole who would drive off so at least you don't have to foot the bill for someone else's misjudgement.

Unlucky and lucky at the same time.
At least should be fairly straightforward to sort it out.
