Anyone happen to know the origin of the switch and cover that are in the mirror housings? I know the usual suppliers do list replacements at a hefty premium (although I think the parts are different to those originally fitted), but I imagine they must be RS or Maplin parts, or similar?

A good proportion of RS parts have the part number marked on, worth a looksie!

2 problems with RS, without the part number it can be a mare to find anything, and when you do, they certainly ain't the cheapest!

Gary, did you track down any of the switch covers without the TVR tax?

If anyone knows the part number I have a friend who works for RS so will buy a load and get him to collect so no postage. Happy to pass some on at cost to spread around.

I bought an 'official' one Alan, only for the bugger to fall off in a rain storm about three days later(I kid you not)... a mate then found and gave me a surplus spare off an old mirror carcass but it has a rip in it so I'm in if you suss the RS number

I bought an 'official one' a while back and it also fell off after a couple of months.

I found an RS cover but it appears too big: http://docs-europe.electrocomponents.com/webdocs/0...

The original one has an o/d of 20mm and internal of 14mm

Anyone know the size of the switch mounting hole.

Goto CPC web site and search 'Apem IP67'

They look very simular there are a few sizes, and as there IP67 there internally sealed no need for a cover.
