landrover warranty or warranty direct?

the extended warranty on my wifes disco3 expires today
i can renew the landrover extended warranty for £835 or go with warranty direct or ahout £600 including the option to use main dealers
the car has had its faults including some gearbox issues.
the landrover warranty excludes wear and tear - which on a car thats done 50k miles cold include quite a lot.
warranty direct includes wear and tear.
anone had any experience of warranty direct?
