A mate of ours is lucky enough to have a Slovakian girlfriend, and a bunch of us have just booked to head upto near where her family live in the High Tatra mountains for a bit of skiing and general sightseeing / chilling out at the start of Feb.

Has anyone been skiing around there before? I think the resort we'll be staying in is called Tatranska Lominca. We're not serious skiers, this will only be my second time and a couple of the guys will be complete novices so Im sure there will be more than enough to keep us occupied on that front, was just after some hint and tips for other things to do while were there? We've got 5 days there in total so will probably ski for 3 of them.

Also, as they're flying in from Stanstead and me from Liverpool, I've ended up with a cheeky day either side in Bratislava on my own. Any recommendations on ways to keep a single bloke entertained for a couple of days / nights in the city.....?

Yes.
Get in a cab and ask him to take you to "The House in the Forest".
It's 8, maybe 10 Km out of the city.
A memorable night.
