Might be. It has a low ish oil pressure assuming that it isn't Very hot. No fuel either....

no mention of tax and MOT.

"needs a bit of TLC" - well if the photos 2 years ago are anything to go by, "a bit of tlc" means a complete rebuild - bits of the chassis were completely missing through rust! If it had a new or restored chassis, wouldn't the ad say so, and wouldn't the price reflect that?

It would seem to me that this car is not roadworthy, and while it could be made roadworthy, the cost of that would require a much lower purchase price now, as gazzab says.

Does using the term "Trade Sale" absolve the trader of his responsibility to sell cars that are in a roadworthy condition and fit for purpose? If the previous problems still exist, should it not be for "spares or repair".

I sent a link to fb to the dealer. Doubt they will respond. I think this might be one previous owner pre the soldier. I think it's the one that sat outside on a grass verge for years n years. Some fool will buy it, a bargain always brings in the rose spectacled punters.

I remember this death trap. and im surprised to see it for sale again, and not in a breakers were it belongs.

It wants rebulding on a new chassis IMO for total peace of mind..

But if its had a new chassis then it may be a differant story and worth a look

Oh dear, that chassis looks a mess.... 7500 quids worth of hassle for someone who doesn't do there research and buys that.

Engine stuffed
Paint kanckered.
No Mot - so expect lots of anciallaries eg brakes, water pipes, bushes, tyres etc
This car has probably ben serviced 2 or 3 times in its life I guess!
It is a FULL restoration

I dont know - I dont think it was THAT cheap but he was quoted £20K to make it roadworthy.

I might be well out of touch on the story, but bhe photo on FB looks like it was taken at Douglas Valley breakers? Matches their usual spot they photograph vehicles after a wash.

So, was it brought from a breakers in the first place?

Yes I viewed it at Douglas valley before this poor chap bought it. I put my hand on the front outrigger and it fell off! Couldn't believe it...
