Hi all
It could be a sad day in my life today as the S is causing probs due to not having 4 seats, I was going to piston fest but as both my kids wanted to come in the S it caused a big bust up and in the end nobody went. As the wife keeps telling me its not a practical car.
shall i keep the peace or the S???

A very fed up farmer

Time for a Cerbera?

Or the cheaper option: another S/Chim/Griff for the wife, and one sprog in each?!

That is a tricky one, especially after seeing how keen you were on the S the other night!

I have the issue of needing a sensible car hanging over my head too, although we seem to be making do ok with the wife's car for family trips so far (for the last 2 years that is).

Assuming that you have a family car in the household, maybe you should keep hold of the S, but resign yourself to having to leave it at home a bit more often. Seems preferable to not having a TVR at all!

If you're really serious about the S then get rid of the wife and kids!

We have an A class in the family as well... only having 2 seats does cause probs but I guess it is give and take... Sat night I took the A class and my son to the in laws and my wife to the S and my daughter... return trip me and my lad had the S and the girls had the merc!!! not ideal as neither of us had a drink but the only way to do it is to get the wife to want to drive the car as much as you and let her!!! IMHO

Take another look at the picture in your profile (or indeed the car in your drive). Still want to sell it ? Didn't think so....

Hi Paul
I know its to late now but I would gladly called in and taken one kid to PF for you.
These things always seem to arise at the last moment but maybe next time.

Hi Paul,

Sorry to see that the S is going after all. It appears that you and I may be in the same boat as far as the requirement for more seats goes!

I guess we'll both be arriving at the next PH meet in somewhat less exciting motors!

Sorry to hear both of you are selling up! Are you looking to stay with TVR Richard or buying someting more practical?

We are sort of in the same boat, but I decided its best to have three cars in order for me to keep the V8S, so we are on the lookout for a third car!

Well if it makes you feel any better we have 4 cars between me and the g/f with no sprogs to transport! On sunny days the driveway is filled with the 2 tintops and on the days with shit weather the driveway is filled with the 2 TVRs

Thanks Mike.

Unfortunately I'm going to be TVR-less as I need something with more seats, and my budget doesn't quite extend to a Cerbera!

Still, I feel very lucky to have owned a TVR at all , and hope that I'll be a TVR owner again one day, albeit probably not for quite a few years!

Are you both still coming to the S meet on the 15th?

That's my plan, unless a buyer turns up in the next week and a half. Even then, I may still have a backup plan!
