Strange you mention this car.
I came home one evening after collecting my daughter from a party about 23:30ish
Was travelling from Red Road onto A322 towards Guildford
I was third in a line of four cars.
This silver VRs came past the line of traffic which was going 40ish mph
very fast towards traffic light junction by Gordons School as you enter West End village.
Estimated speed well in excess of 70mph no warning lights or flashing headlamps.
Driver had to brake real hard as a lone car was crossing the lights which were green for joining traffic.
The VRs driver then carried on and disappeard off along the A322
That could have been a very nasty collision if it had resulted in an impact at that sort of speed.
May not have been the same vehicle but I dont care how well you think you can drive
or have been trained that was sheer looney driving.

True, but, remember he is a highly trained Police driver, and yes, he could have had a nasty collision, but he didn't as demonstrated, also, you said it was late at night? perhaps he was on the way to a break in and wanted to catch the crims whilst still on site? No idea to be honest, could be any one of a numnber of things? Or, driver could have been an arse...

I would not like to say 100% that the VRs I saw was un-marked police.
And personnaly feel that whoever was behind the wheel was driving like a fool.
Taking into account the road conditions, entering a built up area and the traffic lights at crossroads. The manner in which the car was driven was not likley to be a trained police driver.
As the driver was not taking into account the lights being red or the fact that other vehicles
may be about to enter the main road.
IMO the police trained drivers I have seen show a little more consideration to the fact that others may not see them or be aware of a car travelling as such high speed so drive accordingley.
Most likley either nicked or just being driven by a knob jockey
And personnaly feel that whoever was behind the wheel was driving like a fool.

The police aren't exempt from the rules on safe driving. If a member of the public reports a bad driver or suspected drunk they will investigate it. Intimidating behaviour or actions likely to encourage a MOP to break the law are almost certainly illegal and definitely immoral.rasto said:
