Codes and Real-Time Parameters reading, Mk4 Mondeo?
Discussion
I'd like to be able to interrogate my 59 plate Mk4 Mondeo.
Is there a fairly cheap method of reading codes and observing the values of parameters in real-time? The ability to record the data would also be good.
I'd also like to be able to talk to the CAN-Bus system, to prevent having to visit a Ford dealer every time a bulb blows or I want to change anything.

I have a PLX devices Kiwi unit that plugs into the OBD2 port and connects wirelessly to my iPad or iPhone.
(Android version also available) allows viewing of all critical parameters like fuel, timing etc. You can also
read fault codes and reset them too. Not locked to one car either so you can plug it into anything to diagnose
a fault. Costs about £100 but mine has paid for itself in the couple of years I've had on various cars.

Hmm. Sounds interesting. Can it(or one similar) work with a laptop?(Android version also available) allows viewing of all critical parameters like fuel, timing etc. You can also
