Due to the French airport strikes before Christmas it has only been possible to collect my car the weekend just gone. So quick history, private sale had a PPI which stated the suspension was worn and would need replacing maybe next year, heatshields, air con condensors, the usual. Maybe I went in with my heart as it cost 3 grand of repairs. Anyway it is fantastic, there is no logical reason for having so much power and grip. At the moment it seems faster than I can think.... Driving it is great, it really is like I am part of the machine, I thought about a short shift but I enjoy the longer throw. It is so involving, something that is missing in today's easy to drive cars which are more like using a playstation. So yesterday I did 800 mile to get back to France, with my 18 month old son in his Porsche baby seat in the rear. I averaged around 26 mpg, around 70mph average for the 800 miles (sorry haven't changed the trip back to mph from kmh) cruising at 30 kmh less than the limit (I think it was less?). The tank is small so more stops, but great. My only issue is that the service light for the break pads came on but they are relatively new, I have to check the inboard pads though, but there was no smoke or smell. Its great though. After work i think a family trip, the two children in the back (twins) and the missus - I suppose I have to justify the hole in my bank account....

excellent, glad you're happy with it. I have one too and it is an epic GT car. I envy your trip, the french motorways are sliky smooth, the the lovely blast you can have after the peage will be awesome.
I'm looking forward to a european trip in mine one of these days.

Your right about the roads, through England I crossed the A50 from the M6 to M1 and on some sections the noise from the tyres due to the road surface was pretty impressive. Not the same issue in France (autoroute only).
