Gordon doing his stuff in the new 991 at P E C
Discussion
Very slick presentation. I love it how he goes on about how the 911 DNA is the same as it ever was. I wish I could find that link that was up on here a couple of days ago as a contrast. It featured a clip from an old film showing a pretty girl driving a 1960s 911 and there was very little 991 DNA on display on that day with it hopping around all over the road and eventually spinning within its own wheelbase (albeit intentionally)!

Impressive stats there if it's true that the new 911 is as quick around the Nurburgring as the 997 GT3
There's an article in the Dec edition of Evo comparing the two, based on that claim by Porsche. They scream around some of the back roads in California and come to the conclusion that the 991 is certainly as quick, and more refined, yet not as raw, which you'd expect of course.Just saw my first 991 in the wild (black, 991S, on Cornhill in the City). Nice looking car, but the differences between it and the 997 are small - such that I, a proper nerd when it comes to cars, really had to squint at even a moderate distance to spot the difference, especially head-on.
Up close it looks bigger than the 997, but I'm not so sure if, in black at least, it looks any better though tbh there's not a lot in it. I'd still like a go in one mind you...

You’re not alone; I saw a pic today and thought it was a 991 (until I saw the vents in the rear arches).Up close it looks bigger than the 997, but I'm not so sure if, in black at least, it looks any better though tbh there's not a lot in it. ...

Proof that there is more to 'doing a top gear' than just a box of filters and a few overlays. They also shouldn't use DSLRs for filming because the CMOS jello means that when the car passes close to camera it looks really badly distorted. At least fix the frames with a plugin.
Richard,I think you got lost for a moment and thought you were on a photpgraphy forum?

All sounded very good but I didnt understand much of it.
Hope you are well.
Cheers

how's the cayenne ?
If I didnt want another car, Id say the Cayenne is everything you need in a car and does everything so well! and has a real feel good factor when driving.
It can really be hustled and with a suprising amount of feedback also!
Are you enjoying yours?
