I signed into Youtube today for the first time in absolutely ages and found myself scrolling through the recommended channels and vids. It's a bad habit that's cost me hours and days in the past, so I didn't go too into depth today, but the one thing that popped up which spark that deep intake of breath and the "Ahhhh if only" moment was the '57 Chevy Belair.

I don't exactly know when and where the obsession began, but it's still there as rich as ever

Shame they're pulling such hideous money these days

Ahhh well, back to dreaming hehe

So which car was it for you?

TVR Cerbera for me. I was 13 when they were released, and as soon as I saw (and heard) one near where I lived I wanted one. I want one more than ever now.

Of course I dream about owning the usual Astons, ferraris etc but for a realistic dream car would be a mint Civic Jordan just something about them I love.

An Evo VI

God knows why, its not that exotic, its not that good looking, but for as long as I can remember I've wanted one. And fingers crossed, this year will be the year.

What's that they say about not meeting your heros?

288 GTO and/or F40 would make me a happy man. I prefer the GTO but the F40 is definitely more of an 80s icon.

BMW M1 - doubt I will ever have the chance to own one now, should have tried to find the folding when you could still buy one for less than you would spend on a well spec'd 1M...

Skyline GTR. I can remember the 1st time I saw an R34 near manchester, the 1st time I saw an R32 and R33 were both at Donington Park and I just thought they were the coolest thing ever.

I will have one at some point.

Integrale Evo 2

Forget Impreza's, Evo's, Cosworths and even ur-Quattro's.

Also the only car I would consider owning in red (and that includes Ferrari's)

Ginetta G40R, its on speed dial in the event I win the lottery. Lots of other cars I want but not for as long as I have wanted a G40

Me too. I recall a guy I knew buying one for 50K (top money at the time & not that long a go either) and I believe it was as new!
