I now have 5 cows in my house, a special breed of blue cow! Now all that remains is to attach them to her outdoors, wish me luck..........

I've heard of a 'Blue Moon', but a 'Blue Moooooo' is a new one.... Where did you find a blue daisy??? I Need to replace the blue vinyl in mine and was wondering whether it would be just as easy to 'insert' some leather instead .

I didn't think I'd puzzle you all too much by that Well done Mike for guessing. Yes, a full leather re-trim is on the way. It'll take a while, but hope it's going to look good in the end

Hello Pete, looking at your piccies, mine's currently got the same blue vinyl interior as yours. I figure it's just as easy to replace it with leather as vinyl and I've been after it for a while. Got it quite cheaply, £240 Yes, I know she's spoilt!

<perk>
Do you mean you got a ready made wedge interior for £240 (not including seats I assume).

I wish

Nope, I mean I got 5 blue cow-hides for £240. They normally go for £100-£120 per hide. They now need cutting, stiching, gluing, etc to something resembling the right shape......is roughly 60% flat panels which will be easy, 40% seats, centre console, dash will be more tricky!

cheers

<Impressed>
I managed to get a nice pair of full hide seats from a low mileage chim for my wedge. The colour match to the rest of the interior is not bad, but the door card carpets are badly faded and, well, it needs recarpeting throughout. replacing the door carpeting with leather is definitely an idea though. Hmmmm.

Hello Pete

It's not offensively, need shades on sort of bright. In fact, he's got it back on eBay again for same price. They are half hides, but prob easier as it's more manageable size.

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=28162&item=7908666574&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW

The perforation isn't to everyones taste but I quite like it and it's cheap.

I'm told by Ralph Dodds who's done a fine job on his 2+2, that he used 4.5 hides in total with some spare. I got 5 in total in case something goes wrong

Struggling to find something to compare it too. Can lay a hide in my interior and take a digital photo t'moz if you like? He will send small samples too.

Doubt I'll have done much/any by BBWF, still haven't changed the thermostat housing gasket, oops!

cheers
Dave
