Current 911 prices are rather confusing! As we are now in the new year does everyone think prices of convertibles will strengthen? I want to trade my 2002 2 owner 996 carrera 4 cab tiptronic for a 996 turbo but can't see any consiistency in pricing - any advice?

That is probably generally correct.

However, it doesnt mean that values will increase, in fact I would expect them to continue to trend downwards.

Many people wait to sell convertibles in Summer because they believe the values will be higher. This increase in cars available probably matches the increase in interest cancelling any net effect out.

Sorry to say this.

Car is a Tip, generally worth less than Man
Car is Cab,generally worth less than Coupe
Car is a C4 not a C4S, so slim body,less luggage space,heavier & worth less than C2.

it is now 10 years old & 911V have a nice one in at £17K and it has been there a while, so be warned it may be a lot less than you are thinking.

On the up side you will get a lot off 6TT for the money these days.

£17 quid is a really really good deal. A Porsche for the price of a pizza.

How much do your think your car is worth?

I have a 2000 996 C4 Cab - again, two owners, 35,000 miles. I reckon mine is worth £16,000 to the right buyer...

I think I started the tread many moons ago that brought it to your attention, I f I recall you got it for a snip of its current value even in these bad times.

I wished I had a garage to keep something like that in. Hope it is serving you well.

Think you'll be in for a shock then. That's more like the price level for a 2003 facelift cab. You'd be lucky to get £12-13K I reckon - although I haven't looked at these for a few months now so could be wrong

Ah yes I remember the thread. I'd already spotted the car advertised and had literally just bought it. It's a cracking good example and fantastic value for money.

Guys dont get me wrong, I like to cab & in fact if I was to but another 911 it would be a cab but I feel as these cars approch 10 - 12 years old people will be frightened of the thought of a new roof.

Look at 993 & 964 models, the coupe is worth more with them, now is that due to the handeling or the thought of a roof.

Add to this the seats in the back of a 996 cab have a very limited use, they are not the same as the rear seats in a coupe, so effictivly it is a 2 seater & If I was wanting a cab for £14K I would go for a boxster, the performance would be very similar as the boxster would be 5 years newer.

Just my opinion.
