Anyone else got a Hamilton Classics full cover ?

If so what size ? Mine delivered today and just covered car but it appears quite big, also the advert says 2 straps to secure - I only see 1 ?

Was a bit dark and windy out so maybe missed a strap and like the top cover I had for the boxster is a very good quality :-)

I have the Hamilton cover. Can't remember what size; I just ordered the one the website recommends for the Chimaera.

It's a reasonable fit, though not snug. The elasticated corners do fit quite well though.

You won't need to use the straps unless a really windy day is forecast. In fact, I can rarely be arsed to do up the straps - if it's going to be very windy I often just place a couple of broken pieces of paving slab (gently!) onto the roof and onto the bonnet.

i have one, and yes its too big, also the welds or joins came unglued pretty quickly so be careful how you handle it!! although hamiltons sent me some glue to fix it :-) i have 2 problems with mine though.
if its been raining and you want to take the cover off and use the car, what do you do with the cover, leave it outside because you obviously dont have a garage. but then it gets all mucky including the car side and you cant stow it in the really tight bag you get , as its still wet.
and in the dark which is when i usually put it on, i can never tell which is the front.
however i would say it works really well and does a great job, better than the other one i hace which is a "noah" which fits better and has cutouts for the mirrors but damp seems to get through.
theres my penniesworth :-)

A piece of paving slab, weighing a couple of kilos, laid gently on top of the cover.

Ive got one, its good at keeping the rain off but the size they supply is too big for a chim causing it to twist in windy areas.

In my experience I wouldn't describe it as "too big": the elasticated bits at the corners grip quite well if pulled down around the corners of the car. It's only in very strong winds that the wind will pull the cover up at the ends.

I've solved the problem of stowing it by buying a wooden garden chest, which keeps it clean and dry when not in use.

On mine, the straps are attached to the left hand side of the cover; that's how I figure out which end is which in the dark! At one stage, I was going to label each edge using an indelible marker pen: "left", "front", etc... But I've got better at putting it on now.
