For Christmas I bought my Wife a set of 3 extended pedals for her Chim. All three pedal extensions were identical, 2 fitted perfectly (Clutch and Brake) However the throttle is just a flat welded to the pedal arm. How am I supposed to get the throttle pedal extension to fit?? Or have I been given the wrong part? I understand the "Normal" leven pedals have a "clamp" system for the throttle but what is there for the extended one. Does anyone have a photo?

I've emailed Jill at Leven but not yet had a reply. I'm sure when they read my mail I'll get a positive response as everything I've bought from them has always been perfect. wavey

Just wanted a heads up from anyone here that is in the know.

Pic attached is the remaining pedal showing the HUGE amount of thread adjustment..

Not sure I understand the problem. I have the extended pedals as well. Remove the old pedals and replace with the new ones, job done. All three pedals fit the same way, so not sure what you mean?

My Cerbera is like that, I think you will have to buy a new peddle arm or modify yours so it has the small tube on the end

You might find that you only need to do clutch and brake anyway - Mrs H is 5ft 2 and its only thhose two that caused her a problem as you don't need the same travel or force on the accelerator. (I'm sure they used to sell the Brake and Clutch pedals as a pair?)

When I bought mine for the Griff, part of the kit was a replacement throttle arm that would accept the the new threaded pedal, pretty much the same as the clutch/brake. Sounds to me like you have a part missing from the kit, you wouldn't miss it as it is about 18" long.

This you should have a arm with the throttle pedal as well. I have fitted 2 kits now to my old chim and my Cerb.

Glad you've got it sorted, now comes the fun bit of getting the throttle cable out of the original arm. One bit of advice that might help is to use a tie wrap of wire to hold the throttle butterfly open thus taking all of the tension off of the cable. Good luck

And taking the drivers seat out can make life a little easier as well (wish i did this). Have fun it was a pig of a job upside down in the foot well first time round for me The Cerb was ok as there is a bit more room. In fact the worst job i had to do to the chim was get the throttle cable back on the top of the new arm.

Good luck.

Yes I've been under there already, the throttle cable has plenty of slack but is generally stiff (Needs greasing!) so this will be a good reason for removing the cable inner. The plenem has been renovated recently so all linkages are smooth and easy to get to.
Thanks guys. As ever a fab forum biggrin

Will Manda be even faster now she can reach the pedals (and dispose of those 6" platform shoes)??
