Potential Holiday - March 2012

Looking for suggestions for a potential holiday. Criteria being:

Mid to Late March
5 – 7 days
Must be decent weather
Things to see and do
Potential for sunbathing (her request not mine)
Ideally coastal
Would take a city or beach resort

Budget no issue (within reason). Note: I’m not rich but don’t mind spending!

Very open to suggestions...

Maldives.
Southern India (though a resort not public beaches where they are wont to gawp at semi-clad females).
Madagascar.

Given the trend for modern piracy and kidnapping, I'd have reservations about Eastern Africa though South Africa is supposed to be nice. Gambia?
