Best 'road legal' track tyre.

I like Toyo R888's, However they are no longer the bargain they used to be at all.
But they still offer good dry grip, decent wear levels for a track tyre and also are not lethal on wet roads in my experience as long as there is not a huge amount of standing water

Michelin Pilot Sport Cups > 30% off at ATS Euromaster when I ordered yesterday.
The offers not online so you will have to go in.
x4 265 35 18 for £965 inc vat, fitted
From others off the CSL forum they seem to grip longer than the 888's which I also considered but with the cups at this price why not.
My track tyre I have at the moment is the Dunlop 02G medium/hard compound so looking forward to comparing the two.

The Maxsport's are "Remanufactured" according to their website i.e. remoulds....
It means nothing - being a remould doesn't mean the tyre quality is any less than a new manufacture - in the days before 888s etc Dunlop made the SSR which was an outstanding tyre and was a remouldGassing Station | Track Days | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
